1996 BMW 320i
Described by the vendor as a beautiful example of this fast appreciating classic cabriolet. It is a low mileage car having only covered 58,000 miles. The previous owner was an enthusiast who owned the car for 6 years. The car was kept in a garage, never driven in rain, and this has been the same with the current owner. The car is said to be in almost showroom condition.
The car is a near perfect replica of the E36 AC Schnitzer S3 Cabriolet, of which very few factory examples were produced, it's believed only 3 made it to the UK. There are also very few replicas, especially in this condition with Schnitzer and M3 parts.
The vendor states that the bodywork looks near enough perfect, and the paintwork looks like new. Schnitzer parts include boot spoiler, 18" Type 3 racing alloy wheels, handbrake, and aluminium pedals. M3 parts include electric wing mirrors, bumpers and door sills. The door trims and bumper trims all round have been colour coded, which is rare, and a genuine Scorpion stainless steel exhaust is fitted. The front grille is painted blue with the lower grille red (M3 colours) again this is rare. The black convertible roof looks new, opens automatically and works well, and the rear plastic screen was replaced this year and looks new. The car features custom red and cream leather interior, which is a one off customisation. All seats are red leather with white piping, the steering wheel red and cream leather, all door cards red and black leather, the dash cream leather with black. Red carpets and floor mats also customised. It has a bluetooth stereo, custom speedometer dials, and Schnitzer badges in all the right places throughout the car, inside and out.
This car really is a one off and most certainly one of the rarest and best examples available. It has been tastefully customised and looks like the rare AC Schnitzer S3 Cabrio, which rarely come on sale. The attention to detail that has been paid to this car has been meticulous as listed above with no expense spared, including using many genuine parts. A real head turner wherever it goes, rare and a real investment.
