After 9 years in production and the introduction of the HE V12 engine in 1981, the XJS was equipped with the all-new AJ6 3.6 engine in 1984, well ahead of the launch of the new XJ6, for which this new engine was ultimately destined. What this new engine also came with was an option of a 5 speed Getrag manual gearbox, which meant that you could now have a sporty XJS with relatively good economy.
Offered here is one such vehicle. This 1989 Sebring red XJS 3.6 coupe, which is described as a superb driving car with excellent oil pressure and serviced within the last 100 miles. The car is offered complete with an HPI Certificate, a tamped service book to 90000 miles and a big file of loose invoices from 1997 to 2012. It is equipped with a new headlining, new front Jaguar carpets and excellent leather. The paintwork is superb and the car has the original lattice alloy road wheels. Fitted with Getrag 5 speed manual gearbox affording performance with economy.
Great value and on the way up.
