Details |
The second series Silver Shadow came along in 1976 offering rack and pinion steering, split level air conditioning, uprated suspension and US Federal impact bumpers. The Shadow II was said to be easier to place than the earlier recirculating ball equipped example, was the first car to offer split a level air con system and offered a more stable ride due to the new suspension. The basic car remained the same, with the 6.7 litre V8 under the bonnet and three speed auto box as standard. The model would continue in this guise until 1981, when it was replaced by the Silver Spirit. This example is said to be in excellent order throughout. Its Chestnut over Willow gold paintwork is said to be in good order as is the magnolia hide interior. The vendor also states that the suspension was uprated (probably Harvey Bailey) at 97,000 miles and that the indicated 112,000 miles is thought to be correct. The vendor does say that the car was complete with a comprehensive history up to 102,000 miles. This has now been mislaid but efforts are in hand to secure this from the last owner. Please check the vehicle history at the sale in order to verify if this history is present at the time of the sale. Photographs will follow shortly.
