After many happy years motoring the owners decided that their treasured SLK was in need of some TLC and so in 2019 the car was sent to the restoration specialists, Classics 1963 of Evesham, where the typical SLK rust problems were attended to, including replacing the rusting front panels and repairing the usual spots on the rear panels and boot, the car was then fully re painted in its original Azurite Blue. 

Following a recent Mercedes Benz A service in March this year which included the fitment of four new Continental tyres, the vendor approached us to feature the car in our auction, the MOT was due and no issues were foreseen, but then…it failed, you can view the MOT test sheets on line. Many would have done the bare minimum of work to get the car through its MOT, but not our vendor; the car went back to Classics 1963 who completed all the work necessary including the advisory list. 

So here it is now, with a full 12 months MOT. This is a car that you could use every day but would not look out of place on a Mercedes club stand. Is it a future classic?  Almost certainly, come and see it yourself. The black leather interior is in great shape, the roof works beautifully and the refreshed paintwork looks stunning.
