In response, Barons offers a modern online classic car auction platform, alongside our traditional auction model. Smaller, more frequent sales are held to maximise buyer engagement and sales potential.

This expansion brings together two established auction houses, extending Manor Park Classics’ proven fixed-venue model into the South of England. Customers can be assured that familiar faces remain at Barons, ensuring continuity, knowledge and trusted service.

Our premises are staffed by a friendly and knowledgeable team, available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We are continually investing in improvements to ensure a high-quality experience for customers buying or selling a classic vehicle with us. Much of our continued growth comes from recommendations and repeat business.
Unlike many competitors, Barons operates with no hidden fees. Seller payment is issued within 14 working days. Our seller’s commission is 5% for cars and 10% for motorcycles of the hammer price, plus VAT. If a vehicle does not sell and has a realistic market reserve, it may be entered into the next auction at no additional cost. Competitive multi-vehicle rates are available, and we also offer no-reserve entries with no entry fee.
All client funds are held in a secure, ring-fenced client account. Payments are made promptly within 14 working days, following all required checks including HPI verification. Vehicles do not leave our premises until cleared funds have been received. Barons does not operate buyer accounts and does not accept cheque payments, ensuring certainty for both buyers and sellers.
For buyers, Barons offers a professional yet friendly auction experience. Buyer’s premium is 12.5% + VAT for cars (minimum £600 + VAT) and 15% + VAT for motorcycles (minimum £300 + VAT), with efficient payment processing and clear communication throughout.
We provide a high-quality, cost-effective and efficient service covering every aspect of the classic car auction process.

We specialise exclusively in vehicles. When we report a sales rate of over 75%, this reflects cars sold, not mixed lots of automobilia.

We host classic car auctions every six weeks at our Marchwood facility near Southampton.
Vendor payments are made via bank transfer within 10 working days after the auction. Client funds are held in a secure, ring-fenced account, a practice in place since our founding in 1998.
