A 1987 Mercedes W126 420 SEC V8 petrol coupe automatic in Diamond Blue Metallic with Sand full leather interior trim. The car has had 3 former keepers, the last keeper owned the car since 2014. We are told that the gearbox was rebuilt in 2021 at a cost of £2,420, and new rear shock absorbers and one of the seat belts were replaced at 105,000 miles. The mileage has been traced all the way back to 2006.

The vehicle is described as being very clean, and has benefitted from some restoration work, including a full bottom half repaint in correct Mercedes Diamond Blue, the seats have been refreshed, and the car has had a recent oil service and re-commissioning, as the car has been in storage undercover. The paintwork has a high level of shine and all panels fit well, doors open and shut as they should, the electric roof works well, and all 4 windows work. The alloy wheels look nice, and it’s very clean under the bonnet and in the boot area. The interior looks very nice with its big comfortable leather electric seats.

The car pulls well with its 4.2 petrol V8 motor, and the vehicle has an electric steering column that is works well. Due to the fact that the car has been in storage, the vendor says that some re-commissioning would be advisable, as the car has not driven in earnest for some time. There is a record of old MoTs and various invoices together with hand books etc. Please note that the car is registered as a Category N Insurance Loss from November 2021. The car had a damaged front wing and indicator, but the insurance company decided not to have the car repaired. It has since had a replacement front wing and indicator fitted.
