The Ford Mustang is an American icon and was originally based on the Ford Falcon compact. The first production Mustang rolled off the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan on 9th March 1964 and was introduced to the public at the New York World's Fair on 17th April 1964. It was, and remains, one of the most successful product launches in automotive history. The Mustang sold over one million units in its first 18 months on the market and its legend lives on with revised models still in production today after 50 years. With each revision, the Mustang saw an increase in overall dimensions and in engine power.

The previous owner, who had the car since 1995, had it restored between 2012 and 2016 but further work was required, which has now been done under the vendor's ownership. This included repairs to frame rails and floor, and new torque boxes. Previous works included new interior, new fuel tank, new hood, respray in Candy Apple Red. The car was built at Metuchen plant September 66 and was originally dark moss green with saddle interior according to Marti Report.
The vendor has replaced front and rear springs, shocks, new lower control arms, spring perches, new steering and suspension bushings, wheel bearings, brake cylinders, brake shoes and front drums. New coil, plugs, distributor cap, leads, points, condenser, new starter motor, fuel pump, partial rewire, silencer and tailpipe. The Ammeter and oil pressure gauge aren't currently working. The car is MoT exempt but was MoT'd for peace of mind in April 2019, and it passed with no advisories.
