This Mercedes 300 SL belonged to the vendor's father-in-law who sadly has passed away. He purchased the car from new in the UK and worked abroad, returning to the UK two or three times a year, which is why the mileage has remained low. The car has always been garaged. It is in good condition, requiring minimal TLC to a small area of the bodywork, and the carpets in the footwells require deep cleaning.
Copies of receipts lead the vendor to believe that the rear seats may have been fitted by Mercedes as an extra shortly after it was originally purchased. The car was fitted with a new battery during lock-down. It comes with the log book, manual, various receipts for servicing, and MOT's. Unfortunately the maintenance manual has not always been stamped and signed. The car appears to drive well and would probably benefit from being driven regularly. It has only been twice driven very briefly since last September.
There can't be many 29 year old SLs around with less than 30,000 miles on the clock, so this car is a rare find.
