This is a very original example of the desirable chrome bumper T-top 1969 Corvette Stingray C3. It's running an original 350 5.7L Auto but isn't matching numbers, the vendor thinks that the original engine was replaced under warranty back in late 69' as the engine decodes as an original 1969 350. This car was stored for over 23 years and was only brought out for servicing and MoT’s, so it’s in really sound condition. The birdcage is all solid and the underside looks to be in good condition. The car drives very well, the engine and gearbox are great, and it really flies. It has factory air conditioning, but this isn't currently working. The car is MoT and tax exempt.
There are some invoices from when the car was in Florida for various things, and there are some invoices from the UK. It has recently had a new wiper motor, washer pump, wiper door vacuum actuator pump, vacuum switch, all in order to get the wiper door and windscreen wipers working properly. It also had both the front and rear brake calipers refurbished using new rebuild kits, new brake pipes, a new fuel tank sender unit and gasket fitted, and a new passenger side wing mirror. An oil and filter change was carried out last year, within the last 300 miles.
The car is fitted with seats from a later 1970s C3 Corvette, but the originals are included in the sale, although they do require retrimming (these will need to be collected from the vendor). It also comes with a set of original T-Top bags/covers.
This is an amazing looking car from all angles, and it's a real head turner. The chrome bumper C3s are very rare in the UK, and this is a very usable example.
