This is a Triumph Dolomite 1500HL which has been fitted with a Rover V8 engine and comes with a Dolomite Sprint back axle. The car is in virtually rust free condition, with only a very small amount of rust on the rear near side wheel arch. The engine and gearbox are from a later Rover SD1 V8 and the gearbox is the later and much better GM TH180 example, fitted with a B&M shifter. There has been over £2,500 spent on the car since 2020 with receipts, the latest being the Sprint back axle, which has been completely overhauled, with new parts where necessary, and has been shot blasted, powder coated, and comes with fast road poly bushes. This has not yet been fitted to the car and collection of the axle will need to be arranged with the vendor.
The paintwork looks good from 6 feet away, but has localised micro-blister. All chrome is good, and the interior is in nice condition. The conversion has been done very well, there is an 8 branch exhaust manifold and a new Holley type 390cfm vacuum controlled secondary fitted. The car has been on the rolling road recently, and is producing about 190 flywheel bhp. A very unusual Triumph which definitely has a licence to excite!
