A 1970 Escort MK1 1300GT 4 door with one private owner from new until Feb 2019, when it was purchased by the vendor, who describes the car as good in all areas, and to drive well. Finished in the desirable Ford Red paintwork with a black interior, the car has always been dry stored in a garage when not driven.

The car is fitted with a Kenlow fan, Janspeed manifold and exhaust system, new battery, spare wheel and complete tool kit, locking wheel nuts, and a new Ford engine was fitted in October 1987. It has a new laminated front screen, the headlining has been replaced and is in perfect condition, all seats are in original condition as it has always had 2 sets of seat covers on from new, and all the door panels are complete and in good condition. There is a period Radiomobile push button stereo with long wave and medium wave, and Audioline 302 graphic equaliser, as well as an Audioline auto reverse stereo cassette player with speakers fitted in rear parcel shelf. The boot interior is complete and is in good condition. The carpets are original and complete but worn.

It would appear that the car has previously been re-painted, and is showing some early signs of ageing. The chrome work is all perfect and complete, and has front and rear chrome over-riders. The car has genuine Fomoco stainless steel wheel trims, on early 12" wheels with 155/80R12 low noise radial tyres, recently replaced and hardly used.

There is a large amount of paperwork including every MOT certificate from 1973 to 2014 (apart from 2010) and VOSA copy of current MOT and Road tax discs 2013, 2014 and 2015 plus 1987, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93 and 1994. The first owner, who was an engineer, did most of his own servicing which has been fully documented (with detailed notes) in three service history booklets. The car comes with a Ford owners handbook, and a copy of the original bill of sale from Godfrey Davis Neasden, dated August 1970. There are also copies of receipts for a replacement headlining, a new laminated windscreen, a Kenlow fan and 5 tyres. There are two sets of keys for the vehicle.
