This 1994 MG RV8 has been with its last owner for 17 years. Originally registered in Japan in 1994, it was one of last cars to receive the front wheel arch eyebrow trims, and one of the first cars to receive the much stronger R380 5 speed gearbox. The MGR was imported back into the UK in 1999 when it had covered about 26,000 Kms, as confirmed by its Japanese service book with the paperwork. Recorded in the paperwork the car had a new MPH speedo fitted at about 28,900 Kms (17,400 miles), the car has since covered 37,000 miles, totalling circa 54,500 miles.
The MGR was put into storage at the end of 2013, and was recommissioned earlier this year with a full service, new battery & alternator fitted, and it was MOTd in May. The vendor states that the car presents very well, with a good body and interior, and sounds glorious from its stainless steel exhaust. The car comes complete with jack and wheel brace, immaculate tonneau cover, the hood is original and sound, and the rear window is clear having been replaced in the past.
The cherished registration number D3 MGR will remain with the car. The car is complete with original service book, UK handbook, previous service bills, and V5 registration document. There are 2 sets of keys with the car.
